We have decided to make a spot for all the pages that are special to us that we either update or have to change. We will put them here so we can look back over all the things that have happened with us over time. ENJOY!!
Famous Eggs!! Alice Waters visited the Hartford Farmers Market on Thursday and our eggs were used as a demonstration and she also purchased a dozen!! Alice Waters is the owner of the French bistro Chez Panisse in Berkeley, Calif., considered one of the finest restaurants not just in the United States but in the world. www.courant.com/news/local/hc-alice-waters-pictures,0,5876802.photogallery Thanksgiving...........2008 Thanksgiving has come and we are all happy to be stuffed full with the fresh turkey, buttery mashed potatoes, cornbread sausage stuffing, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, roasted turnip and cranberry orange relish. Of course for dessert we had our ample helping of apple pie, pumpkin pie, chocolate chip pie, eggnog bread pudding and pumpkin bread all served with a heaping scoop of fresh whipped cream!! YUM. The most important thing on our Thanksgiving Table was our "Thankful Butter". We each take a turn shaking our glass jar filled with sweet cream with a marble in it, as we shake it we have to say what we are most thankful for, when it is finally turned into butter, everyone MUST have some on their plate. I love hearing what the kids are most thankful for. It makes me smile when they say they are thankful for their family and for the "feast" we are going to have for dinner. They each had their turn in the kitchen helping with different parts of our dinner, which they proudly announced each time anyone took some of that particular food. Anna helped with the turkey and green bean casserole, Molly helped with all of the desserts and Emma was in and out helping a little bit with everything. Riley helped by keeping baby Tyler busy and happy! As we sat around the table and simply enjoyed the people and conversation we realize just how sweet life is, how blessed we are and how much we have to be truly "Thankful" for. We hope you all had a beautiful holiday full of memories. We just want to say how thankful we are for all of you who support us with your words of encouragement and for the opportunity to be part of your holiday dessert table! Thank you all for your orders and for stopping by our spot at the market, we hope you enjoyed your desserts as much as we enjoyed making them for you. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! ~Tricia & Tyler
Waters has eight cookbooks, but she's more famous for her movement that preaches about fresh food grown in a way that's good for the environment. The movement, now called "slow food," is a healthy alternative to "fast food."
It's not just the cooking that has made her famous: it's the ingredients. She was one of the first to serve antibiotic and hormone free meats and she insists on fresh, organic, locally-grown fruits and vegetables.
The eggs in the photos are from our farm, take a look!
Christmas.......2008
Our Christmas Tree is up and decorated, a Beautiful Sight! The kid’s rooms are decorated in lights and little decorations here & there. We put on our Christmas music as soon as we get home; usually we sing the songs we know as loud as we possibly can - quite a sight or sound!!! We have our traditions and we do our best to continue and add to them every year. It is one more thing to look forward to at this time of year. Our hope is to make "Family Memories" the highlight of Christmas, not just the presents. Gifts come in all different packages, but the most important and special ones have no package. They are wrapped in love, hope and topped off with a ribbon of tradition. We want each of our children to receive that as a gift every year! It always makes me smile when one of our children remembers something we have to do to get ready for the holiday, like putting the Advent Wreath on the table, or toasting the Christmas Tree with a cup of Egg-Nog before we decorate it wile we listen to "Classic Songs of the Season", hiding the Pickle and Snowball in the tree, baking cookies for nights on end and then packaging them up in pretty boxes, bags or tins and giving them to our family and friends. Those are the things that truly make Christmas the best time of the year! We wish you all the beauty of tradition and the gift of love & hope this time of the year!
Merry Christmas & Happy

Happy New Year!!
Another year has ended and a new one has just begun! Our lives were full last year with new things. Our new son, baby chicks, eggs, the farmers market and our Bakery! We were so blessed with all of those events & happenings that we say goodbye to 2008 with a little sadness. That is not to say that we are not jumping into 2009 with both feet!! The opportunity to start fresh and with a clean slate to decorate and embellish is truly a very exciting thought, which is how we are approaching the New Year!! We will be pursuing places to sell our items and hopefully adding a shipping option to our site. There will be so much to look forward to in this new twelve months; we are finding it hard to contain our excitement! We look forward to sharing our journey with you and we thank you for your continued support throughout the last year.
