Hello Everyone-
Our Cuckoo Maran and Wellsummer Chicks are as big as our older hens! I forgot just how quickly they grow.

So very cute and they will lay a dark almost chocolate colored egg!
We also had 25 Barred Rock chicks that are available for sale! We have sent our first few to live at their new home, just up the street. If you are thinking about having a few of your own chickens, send us an email...we still have a few left. If we have enough people asking for some hens we may get some more chicks to sell!
A Quick Note
I just wanted to write a quick little note and apologize for my lack of updates to our site! We have been very busy this summer and on top of that we had computer troubles!! Now that school is back in session and I am getting back to some-what of a routine I will be updating the website as often as possible. Please join us at our new blog by following this link, http://millixfarmhousebakery.blogspot.com/

Our House Portrait
We recently asked a very talented women, Catherine Holman, to paint a portrait of our home for us. We decided to go with the winter scene because it is our favorite time of the year. Please take a look and make sure to check out all of Catherine's other work, she is very talented!

The "Easter Egg" chickens are laying!! We are so excited and we have begun to include some in our regular egg orders.
Keep an eye out for some in your next order!! No need to dye any eggs for Easter; these are much prettier!!
We will have new recycled pulp cartons that we will use for our retail customers and we will continue to offer our regular personal customers our recycled PEET plastic cartons.
Please remember to return the cartons so we can keep our environmental footprint to a minimum!
